The Chicken Tarot is COMPLETE

Hello everyone!

I am very excited (in a detached "I can't believe this is real" kind of way) to tell you that I have packed out and shipped all of the decks!

Technically, I finished shipping almost everything out this Tuesday, with a handful of unknown addresses straggling behind (I am still missing four by my count, so I hope those folks are checking their inboxes), but I have been cleaning and mulling and, honestly, coming to terms with the end of such a large undertaking.

Of course, there's still work to do as far as the Chicken Tarot is concerned, the main job being making it available to more folks. It would make me incredibly happy to see the deck in a few stores in Seattle. That task, along with every other task that wasn't literally painting chickens in this project, is more involved that I realized...

I would really like to write one more post on the lengthier side that talks about everything I've learned from this project, which is quite a lot!

I am also not naive enough to believe that there will be zero shipping issues to deal with, but I am hopeful that the post will show me some mercy in that regard.

All of these things must be put on hold though, because I planned a two week trip many months ago, not anticipating that the timing would be quite so serendipitous, or so stressful. Even more fittingly, it's going to be an accidental birthday trip, during which I hope to do lots of walking, sketching, and knitting.  So much has gone on hold for the completion of this project, and I am very excited to see what whims I can chase for a little while now that it's (mostly) complete.

Now, I have been receiving emails and comments and messages about purchasing decks from me since the funding of this Kickstarter, and I really don't want to leave those folks hanging too much longer. While I won't be able to ship anything more out at this point, I have decided to list the deck for sale as a pre-order on my website. Just click the '“store” tab above if you’re interested. I've limited the quantity to what I think I can handle in a few days once I get home in two weeks. It's not ideal, as people have been waiting for quite some time at this point, but I hope another few weeks won't be too harrowing.

For those of you who's journey with me ends here, I deeply appreciate your support, your feedback, and your emotional investment in this project. Not only has it made this project possible, but it has made me a more compassionate artist to think that other people might connect with what I create.

Now, it’s time for me to take a short break!
